How to configure email sending via SMTP

This tutorial is an additional part of the email integration guide. Make sure you already have an email address integrated with JivoChat and email forwarding activated before following the steps in this tutorial.

Here’s how to set up SMTP using Gmail as an example:

1. Access the Email Channel Settings in JivoChat

2. Click on the "SMTP Settings" Option

Note that there are four fields to be filled out in this step:

• SMTP login and SMTP password: These are basically your email login and password.
• SMTP host: smtp.gmail.com
• SMTP port: 587

Note: The SMTP host and SMTP port can easily be found online and vary depending on your email provider.

Done! By following these steps, your SMTP email sending will be properly configured. Now, your emails will be delivered to recipients using your own email address and name.
